Introduction Q-Writer :

• Q-Writer is a chip programming software with graphical interface, which enables user to download programs to the Flash Demo Board, EV_Board, or OTP Demo Board quickly. Just follow the sign shown on the interface, files could be downloaded to the target. It not only provides a user-friendly interface, but also brings more simplicity, accuracy and efficiency.

NY8-OTP_Writer :

NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver. B) supports the programming of NY8 series, the rolling code function and the OTP_Writing-Times function. (Need to cooperate with Q-Writer software).

How to Use NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver. B) Hardware :

• NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver. B) hardware can be operated in PC-Link mode by connecting to PC (connected through USB cable), or can be operated in Stand-Alone mode. The operation in PC-Link mode must work with Nyquest Q-Writer system.
• In PC-Link mode, user only needs to operate according to the guidance in the tool interface and the .bin file can be easily and quickly written into NY8 OTP chip. In Stand-Alone mode, the NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver. B) hardware provides simple and easily understood indicator as well as control buttons.
• User could easily write the content in memory to OTP chip.

Hardware and Accessories :

The hardware and accessories of NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver. B) include the following items. Please make sure whether they are ready.

• A NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver.B) hardware.
• A Mini-B Type USB cable.
• A USB adaptor.
• A transfer board for SOP8/SOP16/SOT23-6 COB packages.
• A config card (NY8A051/53 DIP/SOP config card).

Introduction of the Hardware :

• The appearance of NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver. B) hardware is shown in the figure below. It has a mini USB connector slot for power input in Stand-Alone mode, or as connector to PC and power input in PC-Link mode.
• The slot of transfer board can be connected to different types of transfer boards to match different packaging types of IC, such as SOT23-6, SOP8/SOP18/SOP28/SOP48, SSOP20/SSOP28, DIP8/DIP14/DIP18/DIP28/DIP40 and QFP48. In Stand-Alone mode, the hardware provides a Select/Start button to select A0, A1, A2…etc from operation mode.
• The result of the settings and execution will be displayed through LCD displays, and the operations intended for execution is confirmed and executed through Select/Start button. When executing operations, the 3 LEDs representing “BUSY”, “OK” and “FAIL” will display the real-time status of the executed operation. Different types of config card can be mounted on the config card connector in concordance with different IC series. NY8-OTP_Writer (Ver. B) also provides ECI (External Control Interface) for connecting external programmer as an automatic programming system.
